Riverbend Groups

We envision a welcoming community…

At Riverbend we have so many ways for you to get connected to a welcoming community and there’s no better time to join us than in the beginning of the new year. Our winter season runs for 8 weeks, from January 12th through March 8th. So find a new group and share your story!

Group Types

All of our groups are organized into six categories. You can learn more about them and find a group below.

No matter your life stage, interests, or background, we’ve organized the best of what we have to offer into Group types to help you find your perfect fit. Whether you're seeking connection with others in a similar season of life or looking to dive into a specific interest, our groups are designed by the congregation, for the congregation, and with you in mind. Explore our range of options and discover a community that’s tailored to support, inspire, and grow with you!

Community Groups are medium to large sized welcoming gatherings of like-minded individuals centered on topic-based learning: from book studies to sermon-based discussions to life stage bonding. Join one of these groups to learn, connect, and enrich your life.

Activity Groups are small to medium sized gatherings of individuals who get together to share their passion for a particular activity. From pickleball to sewing, or hiking to book clubs, share your interests with other Riverbenders. Join one of these groups to create memories and have some fun.

Classes are groups of people who spend a season studying a particular topic in order to further their faith, both as individuals and as a community. Register for one of these classes to learn, grow, connect, and explore what it means to live out your faith.

Care Groups are small gatherings of people walking through a similar season together. From grief to addiction, divorce to cancer, these groups center around particular needs, and are led by someone specifically called to walk alongside those on that journey. Care groups form to meet needs around Riverbend.

Spiritual Formation groups focus on strengthening faith through intentional, dedicated, and in-depth courses. These intimate classes are carefully crafted to take you deeper on your spiritual journey, furthering your foundation in God's truth and expanding your capacity for abundant life in God's grace.

Home Groups are small, intimate gatherings of people who are dedicated to meeting in homes, off campus, and growing together in their local community. Whether you're seeking companionship, community, or simply a group of Riverbenders from your same neighborhood, join a Life Group and start crafting your story side by side, painting the canvas of life with vibrant hues of friendship and fulfillment.

Volunteer Groups

There is no greater community than the one you serve.

While there are countless groups you can join or start, there’s nothing quite like the connection and fulfillment that comes from serving together. At Riverbend, our missions and outreach efforts with the Austin Blessing Co-op offer a powerful way to find true purpose—and meet amazing friends along the way. With abundant opportunities to serve your local community, we promise that the experience of serving together will not only change others’ lives but also transform yours.
