GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. This will mark Riverbend’s first time participating in the worldwide giving movement!
What is Riverbend raising money for during GivingTuesday?
For GivingTuesday this year, Riverbend is seeking to raise $100,000 to create opportunities for parents and kids to THRIVE as they grow in their faith and family bonds.
From student camps to retreats, Sunday school classes to weeknight programs, parent conferences to family-centered community groups, we are committed to strengthening families of all shapes and sizes. Your Giving Tuesday donation will help propel these activities, events, and initiatives into 2024 and beyond.
No matter what your family looks like, we want your family – and everyone in it – to thrive.
When you partner with us on GivingTuesday, you will play a crucial role in:
· Providing summer camp scholarships to students who would otherwise not be able to experience the life-changing impact of camp due to their family’s financial limitations.
· Hosting educational conferences and community groups to help parents and guardians raise healthy, forward-thinking, compassionate children despite the challenges of modern culture.
· Expanding our Sunday school and weeknight offerings to give children more opportunities to learn about Jesus and develop foundational peer and mentor relationships.
· Distributing backpacks and school supplies to children around Austin, Mexico, and El Salvador.
What is Riverbend’s position on families?
Families come in many different shapes and sizes – from one child to many, and from nuclear to blended to adopted to extended to single-parent.
