Monthly Breakfasts
Riverbend men gather together the first Tuesday morning of each month at 7:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Each month features a guest speaker, as well “Sergio’s Taco’s” for breakfast. It’s a great time to meet other men in the church, share stories, and listen to an inspiring speaker. We’re off for the summer, so next Men’s Breakfast will take place on Tuesday morning, September 14, 2010. Our guest speaker that day will be Paul W. Barger.
Paul is on the staff of Priority Associates, a non-profit Christian organization that serves as a spiritual resourcde to the business community. Priority Associates is the marketplace division of Campus Crusade for Christ. Paul has served with Campus Crusade for 39 years. New Men’s Weekly Study starts 9/22/10: THE POWER OF A WHISPER
Men of Riverbend gather together on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in Quad 3A for a time of study, discussion, reflection and fellowship. The next study is a 4-week study called "The Power of a Whisper -Hearing God, Having the Guts to Respond". It is based on Bill Hybel's latest book. Each week we watch a DVD and Jim Ford leads us in an interactive discussion following the study guide.
The study will start on Wednesday night, September 22, 6:30 in Quad 3A. Cost for participants guide is $10.00. Optional hard cover book can also be available for $17.00. To register, email kross@riverbend.com and bring cash, a credit card, or check with you to the first class to pay for materials, or register at the Involvement Center on Sunday mornings.
2011 Men’s Annual Summit Weekend
Mark your calendar for February 25-27, 2011 for our annual men’s summit to take place at T Bar M ranch in New Braunfels. Pastor Dale Beaver, formally a NASCAR chaplain, will join us as the guest speaker for this Friday – Sunday gathering. Plans are for some great times of worship, different workshops relevant to men’s lives, and fun recreational and fellowship time together. It promises to be an awesome weekend. Stay tuned for more details and to register on-line to take advantage of an early bird sign-up special.
