NuYu Network June 7 - 11
The 2010 NuYu Network Vacation Bible School Summer Spectacular event was AWESEOME! Over 760 children and 400 volunteers participated in the event.
Our
Summer Spectacular is just that! We pulled out all the stops for a fun
and exciting week of creative, interactive and child
targeted activities to impact young lives for Jesus. Each day began with a high energy assembly followed by rotations to music, art, games and theater. We
ended the exciting week with a Friday night musical production. The kids will remember for years to come! And...they will want to return the following year!
Daily Theme
Day 1
CHANGES THROUGH OTHERS - When you bring others to him.
Story: Paralyzed Man
Big Idea: “I will bring my friends to Jesus.”
Main Focus: We must do everything in our power to bring our friends to Jesus.
“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My son, your sins are forgiven.” – Mark 2:5
Day 2
"CHANGES OUR DOUBT" – When we believe.
Story: Doubting Thomas
Big Idea: “It’s time to get the Doubt OUT!”
Main Focus: We must have total faith in God
“Really believe and do not double in your heart.” –Mark 11:23
Day 3
"CHANGES OUR FEAR" – When we draw near.
Story: Jesus calms the storm
Big Idea: “Jesus Conquers Every Storm , He will Keep you Safe and Warm”.
Main Focus: God can transform the storms of your life into peaceful times.
“Then Jesus stood up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm.” – Matthew 8:26
Day 4
"CHANGES OUR HOPELESSNESS" – When we trust in him.
Story: Thief on the Cross
Big Idea: “No one is too bad for God!”
Main Focus: It’s never too late to give your life to Jesus.
“The Lord…does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent.” – 2 Peter 3:9
Day 5
"CHANGES By CHOICE" – When you give your whole self.
Story: Rich young ruler
Big Idea: “All my heart, All my Soul, I will give God Full Control”
Main Focus: If we are going to be transformed, we must give God our whole life.
“Love the lord God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” – Matthew 22:37
Daily Dress Theme
Tuesday – Crazy Sock Day; Wear your favorite, fun, or wacky socks
Wednesday – Crazy Hair Day;Slick it back, grease it up, or spike it
Thursday –Inside Out Day;Wear your clothes inside out
Friday – TV Character Day;Dress as your favorite TV character
