Once a Month Service
8:30 Heritage Service
Our "Heritage" service is held in the Smith Family Chapel, and offers a more intimate and traditional setting. The Pastor greets you as you come in each Sunday to sing the hymns you remember from years past, listen to beautiful soloists, and hear Dr. Haney's meaningful message of the day. This service attracts people of all ages, inviting singles, couples, and families to join us. For many who attend regularly, it represents an elegant, familiar, and comfortable time of worship.

9:45 Celebration Service
For 30 years, Riverbend's "Celebration" service has met at the Home for Hope on Sunday mornings for a unique and powerful time of worship. This service offers a 75 person choir, 15 of Austin's top musicians, 6 vocalists, plus guest soloists and artists, all coordinated by Carlton Dillard, one of the country's most well known and talented worship leaders. Each Sunday you can expect something a little different; from a mix of hymns and jazz. to a country music interpretation of traditional worship music.

11:15 Resonate Service
"Resonate" is our newest and fastest growing worship venue, held in Riverbend Centre’s Home For Hope. A worship band, featuring guitars and drums, along with lead and background singers drives the worship experience. In this service, the congregation actually becomes the choir, as they engage personally, experiencing God's presence throughout the worship time. The Resonate band features some of Austin's finest budding young musicians and singers. Senior Pastor, Dr. Dave Haney, encourages the congregation to "come as they are" for this service, delivering a relevant message in a more relaxed, less formal setting. While this service also attracts people of all ages, it is interesting to note that many families with children and youth choose to attend this service as a family, as their children tend to "resonate" more with this style of worship.

EvenSong
Evensong is a different type of worship service from our regular Sunday morning services. Very contemplative in feel, it incorporates candlelight, contemplative music, scripture and reflection, communion, prayer and silence. Evensong is a Sabbath-rest in the loving presence of God. It creates a safe space in the busy-ness of life to be renewed and refreshed.
Evensong takes place the third Sunday of each month in the Smith Family Chapel at 6:45 p.m. There will be no services during the summer but will resume in September: September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19.
