The New Normal
What if, as a part of God’s redemptive plan for me, is to use the need and brokenness in this world to keep me spiritually alive? And what if we experiment with sacrificial gestures of generosity - under the banner of faith -- believing that God can use us but, more pointedly, wants to give us new life? That feels like the makings of a New Normal.
Facts:
40% of the world’s population (2.6 Billion) live on less than $2 a day. Beginning June 13, our challenge is to exist off of $2/person for dinner for one week. And, with the money saved, we pool it together and leverage it for Life...a little more for them, a little more for us. We’re calling this our “Dime Store Philanthropy” Experiment (beginning the week of June 27 and lasting for 2 weeks).
