Spring Fling 2010 (March 4th)
This year's Spring Fling
performance was called "A Daddy's Love", celebrating not only our
heavenly Father's love but also appreciating the love of those fathers,
grandfathers, brothers etc. in our preschoolers lives. Over 200 CDC and Riverkids dressed in one of their dads long sleeve button down shirts sang songs for an audience of around 600 people. The show
included music, media, and recorded clips of interviews with children. The event concluded with a huge cookie and lemonade party.

Easter Eggstravaganza
This is a community
wide event for ages birth-5th grade and includes many activities
including a petting zoo, face painting, egg hunt, cotton candy, donuts, and 3 moon jumps. The highlight of the morning takes place when the Easter bunny and Chick arrive for the huge egg hunt. The campus is covered with over 12,000 Easter eggs. Bring a camera! You will want pictures of this scene!
Egg Hunt
Children
are split up into different age groups to hunt for eggs all over
Riverbend's campus. These hunts take place at different times
throughout the morning. Over 12,000 eggs are filled with age-appropriate candy and
kids love seeing the surprises inside!
Moon Jumps
There
are three moon jumps for children to bounce around and have fun: Two small one for the young kids and a larger one for older kids.
Volunteers are at the moon jumps the entire morning to make sure no one
gets hurt and everyone gets a turn.
Petting Zoo
Children
will definitely want to line up to go inside the petting zoo. They will
be able to pet and feed baby animals like pigs, rabbits, sheep and
goats. What better way to celebrate spring!
Face Painting
Volunteers
will have fun painting faces for children who want to look like a bunny
rabbit or just want a fun design on their face.
Bunny Ears
Children also
have a chance to make their own bunny ears to wear home with them.
Volunteers will be there to help them construct the ears and make this
a fun craft time.
Other Treats
Donuts and cotton candy
This is a church and community-wide fall festival that provides fun, food, fellowship and a safe and positive environment for all ages. Enjoy lots of games and activities and eat some great food.
Come dressed in costume and enjoy the fun! Pictures will be available if you forget your camera. $10 per wrist band (ages 3+) with a max of $30 per family. The Band gets you in to all of the games/rides and entertainment. Bring a FRIEND (not attending Riverbend) and they get in for only $5
Christmas Musical
Join the kids from Riverbend Children’s Ministry and the Riverbend Christian School as they present a high tech Christmas performance. The children’s musical is a dynamic presentation of songs, media and special affects. Children in preschool & elementary are encouraged to participate to make this a special tradition for their Christmas holidays.
